The Watchtower

When the woman at the corner of the street wanted to put a leaflet in his hand, he said to her: "I'm sorry but I am a strict atheïst and my religion does not allow me to talk to you." And he walked away with a smile.

I find this amusing. Thanks.

They say atheism is as much a religion as religion. I'm not sure I agree.

This story reminds me of the degree to which, when I worked in hospitals as a social worker, I railed against the term non-medical or paramedical personnel as a description for someone in the 'helping professions' who is not a doctor, as if such people are to be defined not by what they do but by what they do not do. The same with atheism.

Haha, sort of cute.

Well I've thought recently that Atheism really is a religion. What I mean is, sometimes I am just jealous at people who may confess their believe in God. And always when you say you don't believe, they get angry at you. In this sense I want it to be a religion.

AVY: Thanks :)
